They are low in sodium, cholesterol-free and are fat-free. They also contain a high content of thiamin, which is a B vitamin, that plays a great part in producing energy.

Make random light cuts in the peels in order to release the necessary juices. As you peel to transfer the peels into a stainless pot as to not waste the juices being released. The actual fruit can be used to juice out as plain pineapple drink.

Let’s get on with the recipe!

Ripe pineapple — 1 medium sized

Water — 2 Litres

Cinnamon stick (optional) — 1

Add water to the stainless steel pot that already contains the peels taken off from the pineapple. Throw in the cinnamon stick. Leave it on medium-high heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.  You can stir it every 10 minutes to create uniformity in the fluid.

Strain the tea into a clean water jug. You can drink this hot or wait for it to cool down and then drink it. This tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but it’s always best to finish it while its fresh.

Papaya has always had the repute of a healthy fruit and of course for all the right reasons! We’re here with yet another Try Articles article that discovers all the goodness this fruit holds, focusing mainly on how it helps losing weight.

Losing Weight With Papayas

A Brief Introduction To Papaya

Papaya has a lovely sunset orange color and has a very subtle sweet taste. Easily any fruit lovers favorite! It contains papain, which provides massive amounts of therapeutic benefits to the entire body. Papaya also comprises of a healthy dose of vitamins A, B, and C, and minerals like phosphorous, iron and calcium. All of these vitamins and nutrients are very important to keep our body healthy.

Papaya plays a major role in cleaning up your gut. The presence of antioxidant beta-carotene, play the role of evacuating the nasty toxins. It improves our digestion tremendously!

Ways To Consume Papaya

Generally, out of a set chart, eating papayas can be done in many ways. Just in case you find it boring to consume just a papaya.

Making a papaya smoothie

The easiest and the least time-consuming option! Mash half or more than half (depending what taste you want to dominate in your smoothie). Now add 1/4 cup of greek yogurt and some portions of your favorite fruit. If you prefer your smoothies to have a thicker consistency, go ahead add 1/4 portion from a banana. Mix all these up in a blender and you’re done.

As obvious as the heading, just cut up the papaya into cubes and snack on it. You could be reading a book while you’re at it. This one’s a fun and more laid back option.

Papaya cut into cubes

Introducing papaya into your salad is a good trick to help someone consume it who isn’t keen on eating papaya all by itself.

Shred a papaya and add your regular salad essentials to it. Some variations include cucumbers, green lettuce tomatoes, carrots and the likes. You can also add chicken for protein.

For dressing, go with something very light. Toss it with salt and pepper alone or go for the balsamic dressing. Just make sure the dressing is not a creamy one (no mayonnaise or milk cream). It doesn’t pair well with the papaya and also defeats the purpose of losing weight.

The Papaya Diet

With the papaya diet not only will you be chasing your weight goal, but also help your system get rid of the unwanted toxins.  Papaya makes our digestive system better and boosts healthy bowel movement. When your digestive system improves, it reflects in your body’s metabolic rate, which in turn helps to burn the fat.

Consuming papayas

To give a boost to the start of your diet, it’s better to get a kick start from green tea early in the morning before your proper breakfast or a cup of warm water with freshly squeezed juice of half a lime.

You may choose either of the following options or alternate these during the week:

  • One boiled egg with 1 glass of papaya smoothie
  • One toasted toast or plain toast with peanut butter with half cup papaya

You may choose either of the following options or alternate these during the week:

Strength of the papaya diet

Moving on to incorporating the real deal, papaya, in your breakfast paired with healthy fat and a heavy dose of protein maintains the balance of the diet. Yogurt and buttermilk, both are gut clearing food sources. It’s wise to introduce these to your diets regardless of following a weight loss routine. Dinner time options are full of complex carbs and dietary fiber, ending the day with a full tummy.

It’s important and wise to check if you’re allergic to any of the above-mentioned options for any time of the day. Especially, peanut butter and tuna. These two have an increasing record of reactions in certain people.

How To Do The Lemon Detox Diet?

Detox diets are a great way to start a dieting routine. They are easy to adapt and don’t involve too much effort like other dieting options.

What detoxing basically does is to cleanse the body from unwanted toxins. You may have heard of charcoal soaps, that aid in detoxifying the skin topically. Similarly, a lemon detox diet cleanses the entire body from within and this, in turn, cleanses the gut and the skin.

Detoxing with lemon

To jump onto this master cleanse, the Try Articles team has prepared some great insight for you to follow. Let’s give your body a hard reset, shall we!

Pointers To Note Before You Start

  • A lemon detox is meant to be done for an entire week or rigidly for 10 days
  • This master cleanse is only to be done once in a year
  • Always use fresh organic lemons
  • Drink the lemon detox water as soon as it’s prepared
  • Easing-in and easing-out of the lemon detox diet is a critical phase to follow
  • Do not quit the lemon detox process mid-way as it would kill the purpose
  • Do not give in to cravings, as these would fail the required goal
  • Nausea is a part of the detox process, but not everyone faces it
  • Irritability and boredom is expected, but this mood is very short-lived
  • People who have caffeine addictions may have a headache, but these go away a day or two into the diet

Why Go For A Lemon Detox Diet?

A bunch of celebrities followed the lemon detox for faster weight loss to play a certain role in the movies. That’s where this diet took its popularity from. Nutritionists and dieticians gave their knowledgeable insights on the topic weighing the pros and cons of this master cleanse.

Lemon benefits

The Lemonade Diet

This cleansing diet requires an intake of selective liquids for 10 days. Once that is done, it means your body has shunned the toxins and you can now introduce other foods into your diet. But, take heed, you will need to do that slowly as we are going to be breaking the bodies 10-day past habit. In order to achieve what a lemon detox diet promises, the easing-in, and easing-out phases need to be taken seriously.

The Ease-In Phase

This is the phase that starts before the actual detox diet. The concept behind this phase is to help prepare the mind and body for the change that is about to be introduced to your system.

Day 1

We start off by quitting the in-take of process foods, thereby stopping the flow of new toxins in the body.

Day 2

Next, we start off by slowly taking in the liquid diet. This includes soups, juices, and energy packed liquids like broth.

Day 3

Now, we start with the real deal. Time to consume juices, like orange juice and some plain water.

The Ease-Out Phase

This phase is the exact opposite of the ease-in phase. It will now start training your body to come back to taking in regular food, slowly.

Day 1

In-take of orange juice and plain water only.

Day 2

This day will be all about broth and soups.

Day 3

Time to slowly introduce solids. Starting off raw is best. Go for some fresh fruit and stir-fried vegetables.

What Is The Ideal Time To Do The Lemonade Detox Diet?

The best time to jump on this amazing body cleanse is when your digestive system calls for some hard reset. Also, when you feel bloated, that’s quite a loud sign to observe. Also, if you feel that your obesity isn’t going away with other methods, try this weight loss cleanse. This diet aids in healing the muscles and tissues, so if you feel your body is going through muscle aches, it’s the best time to hop on this diet.

Lemonade Diet Detox Water Recipe

Lemonade detox water is an effective recipe for weight-loss. As mentioned above it assists the body in numerous ways and leads it to well-being. Let’s take a look at the recipe!

Lemon detox

  • freshly squeezed lemon juice — 2 Tbsp
  • Honey or agave nectar — 2 Tbsp
  • Cayenne pepper (powdered) 1/10 tsp
  • Warm water — 8 oz

Simply mix all the ingredients in a glass flask. Make sure to stir well to dissolve all the ingredients.

What Should Be The Daily In-Take?

Ideally, 6-12 glasses of lemonade daily are recommended. However you may consume more than 12, and it is better to drink more than less. A minimum of 8 glass is a must, though. Your intake depends upon your caloric count, so be sure to keep a track of that. Also, your commitment to this diet plays a big part, mentally.

Lemon Drops

Side Effects

It’s been observed that some people tend to develop light fatigue and encounter possible breakouts. But, it all goes away in time, when you’re deep into the diet. Don’t be alarmed all of this is a natural response from the body and is necessary. What can be done, is that the number of showers should be increased, in order to tackle the excretion of toxins in the form of oil. Basically, don’t give the oil a chance to home into your skin and create breakouts.

Post Cleanse

It is highly important to remember that in order to reap the most benefits from this weight loss you will have to maintain a healthy way of living after. Try curbing your cravings by drinking plain water. Choose healthier food options to stop the weight gain from coming back.

How To Do The Tuna Diet?

Let’s lose weight and reset those unhealthy eating habits!

Yup, you read that right! You can actually reset your poor eating habits if you have the will for it. And it’s not that hard. You’ll just need to discipline our appetite for 3-days. Sounds achievable, doesn’t it?

We’ve compiled some reliable information and created this Try Articles guide for you to follow and lose weight easily.

Loosing weight with tuna

Why Tuna?

That’s because tuna is high in proteins and low in calories. It contains no carbohydrates, which is such a bonus considering how easy carbs are to take in. This diet plan seems to circulate a lot around the weight loss topic, due to the results it produces in a short span. We all tend to gravitate towards diet plans that are quick and short.

If you’re an athlete and want to lose some unwanted weight, then nothing to worry about. This diet plan will not affect your muscle tone. You’ll be able to stay in the game, stress-free.

Word of caution though, you must keep in mind that you will be giving your body exposure to a certain level of increased mercury. It is important to know how much of it you should take in accordance with your weight.

How Does It Work?

This diet is unlike a year-round or a monthly plan. The tuna diet is only meant to be followed for three days. That’s 72 hours. Still sounds plausible? Haha! In all honesty, the results will be spellbound! Since the tuna diet hardly covers the bare minimum of a necessary calorie count, our body tends to go into ketosis. Ketosis is the increase of ketones in our stomach. This increase in ketones decreases the water weight.

You will primarily be losing the water weight from within your body. It is optimal that you stick to a better diet after the three days are over.

The tuna diet serves the purpose of preparing one for a long-term weight loss plan. It disciplines your stomach and your mind for a rather heavier dosage of change in eating habits when the diet ends.

They say the tuna diet must be followed strictly to earn fruitful results. You may resume the tuna diet after a four-day break, but, that’s totally up to you.

Let’s begin the challenge!

Day One

Start off with any liquid. It could be your favorite black coffee, your regular tea or plain water.  A quarter portion of any fruit. Half of a pink grapefruit is the best pick as it helps with weight loss. A slice of whole-wheat bread with a spread of one or two tablespoons of peanut butter.

Any choice of liquid. A slice of bread with half a cup of water-packed tuna. (Please, note that it is not oil-packed.)

Boiled green beans

A glass of water. Three ounces of lean meat. A  cup of steamed green beans paired with a cup of steamed beets. The green beans add in the nutrition of carbs and fiber. For the desert, start with a dose of fresh fruit. Have one small apple and then go with three scoops (should measure out to be one cup) of vanilla ice cream.

Day Two

Poached eggs

One full glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or your regular cup of tea or coffee (whichever you prefer). One organic egg. Poached, boiled, scrambled or fried, you may go with any cooked style that you prefer. Add a slice of dry (can be toasted) bread. Lastly, one medium-sized banana (others recommend half of a banana).

Any liquid that you like. We prefer you chose water for this time of the day. A slice of toast with one hard-boiled egg. Finish the sitting off with a small apple.

A glass of water. Half a cup of steamed or boiled carrots and broccoli. Two hot dogs, prepared through water boil. For the addition of fruit, have one banana (others recommend half of a banana). End the night with two scoops (should measure out to be half a cup) of vanilla ice cream.

Day Three

Regular tea or coffee. One egg cooked to your preferences (may be substituted with one slice of cheddar cheese). A four-ounce glass of fresh apple juice. Five saltine crackers

Fresh cheese curd

Water or tea. A cup of cottage cheese paired with five saltine crackers.

A glass of water. A cup of water-packed tuna.  A cup of boiled beets with a cup of steamed cauliflower. For fruit, go with a cup of cantaloupe or if that’s not available one small apple is the perfect alternative pick. Lastly, half a cup of vanilla ice cream

Celebrate the last night of your three-day tuna diet by doing a little victory dance!

Remember: After the completion of your three-day diet tuna, you are required to stick to a low-calorie diet in order to not regain the weight we worked so hard losing.

Find your way to a weighing machine and check out that drop in numbers! It’s a very well known diet and is sure to work for you. Let us know in the comments if you try it out!

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Using Plants (Herbal Medicine)?

When science and research hadn’t reached heights it has today, there were still ways of curing and healing. Every solution is around the environment we’re in, we just need to take a closer look.

And that’s what Try Articles did for its readers. We thoroughly researched and gathered some awesome botanical solutions for those gruesome pimples. So, if you can’t go to the pharmacy for an ointment, walk into your kitchen for a quick fix.Herbal solutions for pimples

Let’s dive right into the magical botanicals!

Witch Hazel

The plant of witch hazel is a shrub rooting from the family of Hamamelidaceaes. It grows in North America and is widely used in the cosmetic industry. The leaves and the bark produce an astringent compound. This extract has active properties known as tannins.

Witch Hazel Plant

The tannins in this extraction hold the ability to be a natural astringent. This is highly beneficial to disinfect any area on the skin. It aids in removing excess oil and is recommended for treating acne. It also helps in nourishing dry skin and is great for eczema as well.

Witch hazel refreshes your face and heals cuts and bruises. The little guy does a pile of things apart from treating your pimple too!

Let’s discuss how to use it.

Pour some witch hazel liquid (easily available in the pharmacies) on a cotton pad and swipe across the entire face. If you’re doing a target treatment for your pimples, then simply dip a cotton swab and dab it on the pimple. Make sure not to dab the same swab in the main liquid to avoid contamination. Leave it on overnight. Wash your face in the morning following your regular skincare routine. Repeat daily till the pimples vanishes.

We all know very well about the acidic properties of lemons and how well they perform for the health of our skin. Scientifically known as Citrus limon, this plant is readily available. It can even be homegrown and doesn’t require too much looking after.

The lemon plant

Lemon is loaded with a natural occurrence of vitamin C, which makes it a skincare favorite. It is great for lightening scars and is an amazing over-night pimple fix.

Take a fresh lemon. Cut it in half. Squeeze out the juice from one half (you won’t be needing too much). Take a cotton ball or a cotton swab and directly dab over the pimples. If your skin is too sensitive, dilute the lemon juice in water and then follow the procedure mentioned above. Another option is to mix it with honey. You may leave it on overnight or wash your face after 10 – 20 minutes. Follow up with a moisturizer. Repeat twice a  week.

Citrus limon won’t disappoint you in the morning that follows!

Famous for hummus! Haha! Yes!

Chickpeas as a medicinal plant

But, there is a lot more to chickpeas than just that!

Botanically known as Cicer arietinum, this plant is loaded with nutrients. Amazing orally and using it topically. Chickpeas contain folate and vitamin B, both of which perform amazingly for the skin cells. They repair damage caused by harmful toxins. That pimple on your face could do with a dosage of chickpea!

How? You ask! Let us tell you!

Take an adequate amount of chickpea flour and mix a few drops of water to make a paste. Now, either use the paste as a cleanser and scrub your face gently. If you’re going for target treatment, simply apply a generous amount of it on the pimple.

The thicker the blob the more time it will take to dry off. It’s best to wait for it to dry fully so that the chickpea flour magnetically sucks out all the gunk from your skin. Use lukewarm water to remove. Continue with the rest of your routine and in the morning you’ll notice a massive showdown in the swelling and the redness. Repeat till the pimples dies out.

Known as Vitis vinifera in the world of botany, grapeseed is very beneficial for treating acne.  The extract is taken out from the seeds of this plant. This extract is a superb disinfectant and contains anti-microbial properties. This makes the grapeseed perfect for handling the bacteria in the pimples.

Grapeseed oil

To make it useable, this extract needs to be diluted with water. In four ounces of water, add 4 to 40 drops of the extract and make a solution. Once, the solution is prepared, dip a cotton pad in it and let it soak up the solution. Apply to the affected area. Let dry and leave it on. If any irritation occurs, wash off with cold water. Use this method 3 times a week and you’ll see the pimple fade away.

Neem, scientifically named Azadirachta indica is valued in the world of Ayurvedic medicines. This plant dates back to the ancient world a good 5000 years ago. It contains the most potent abilities of healing. These take roots from neem being anti-viral, anti-fungus and anti-bacterial.

Neem for pimples

Neem readily destroys the bacteria that causes infection and boosts up the healing process. Perfect for destroying that annoying zit! Also, neem is as good as it is for healing the outside as it is on the inside. The uses are many when it comes to this plant. But, right now our aim is to be pimple-free.

Let’s see how we can achieve that!

Grab a few fresh neem leaves and grind them up. If need be you may add any type of liquid. Like water, rose water or yogurt. Turn that into a paste. Apply on the breakout every day until it dries out.

For future precaution, if you’re prone to acne and random breakouts. Boil a bunch of neem leaves in 2 cups of water and let it cool. Store the infused water and pop it in the fridge. Use it to wash your face or as a refreshing toner by soaking a cotton pad in it and swiping it across our face.

Aloe Vera

The miracle plant! Many woos for this one! Probably aloe vera beats all the other medicinal plants mentioned above and in the entire plant kingdom. This wild plant grows in tropical climates and does very well even if kept indoors.

Aloe vera for treating acne

The pulp that reveals within this plant is what makes it miraculous. It is researched to have 75 active nutrients. Some of which are vitamins, anti-oxidants, enzymes, minerals, salicylic acids and amino acids. The list goes on!

The salicylic acid helps with the treatment of acne.  Also, helps get rid of pigmentation, scars and uneven skin tone. So, if that nasty zit leaves a mark on your face, don’t worry, aloe’s got you covered!

Cut a medium-sized leaf directly off of the plant and wash it with water. Once clean, place it on a cutting board and cut off the thorny edges. Now, carefully peel off the top skin that is straight. This will reveal the gel inside. That’s your treasure.  You can directly use it from here on. Just pick up the leaf and rub it all over your face.

Another way is to scrape it all out with a spoon and blend the pulp in a blender. Pour the blended mixture into ice cube trays, taking out one ice cube at a time whenever needed. This one saves time and is effective as well.

We’re sure this article has gotten you all set to battle that zit! Let us know which medicinal plant worked best for you!

How To Get Rid Of Stretch Marks With Vitamin C?

Scars, be they from acne on the face, or anywhere else on the body, they hold the same ugly feeling. Stretch marks, perhaps are the worst of them as they often take longer to fade away. The marks birth from the tearing of the dermis, which occurs due to continual faster changes in weight and changes that happen hormonally.

There are always ways to get around things and with so much research, there’s always a remedy underway. This Try Articles article will shed light on how vitamin c can help fade the appearance of unwanted stretch marks.

Fixing stretch marks on our body

Often stretch marks are associated with mothers, due to them having their bellies expand that tug at the skin and creates stretch marks. However, these are also very visible on a teenager’s skin after a growth spurt. Forming, mainly on the triceps and the upper thighs. Gladly, both of which are covered under clothing.

Stretch marks that are at their early-stage start off as deep pink, or purple puncture in the skin. Post pregnancy or after massive weight loss they fade to a white or silver lesion. They are much visible on darker skin tones. Touching them feels like some skin is missing, which is basically where it split and formed a crater. There is no sure way of completely getting rid of the stretch marks. But, we can always help fade their appearance.

Why Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is recommended for the growth and repairment of tissues. Stretch marks, being a skin tissue rupture calls for a fuel up on vitamin C. It is an antioxidant and our body uses it to fight off toxins, which are known as “free radicals”, a term you see being used quite a lot lately. These free radicals create hindrance in the formation of healthy scar tissue and the healing process.

Vitamin c for stretch marks

Vitamin C plays a vital role in the regeneration of the skin. Also known as the ascorbic acid, vitamin C is required for the synthesis of collagen, which is pivotal for healthy skin. With all these properties in aiding the skin, vitamin C is the perfect fix.

How Does Vitamin C Work For Stretch Marks?

Vitamin C can be applied topically or taken orally and naturally from fruits and vegetables. Supplements containing vitamin C can also be taken as a substitute, but whole foods are considered the best source.

Food rich in vitamin c

You may choose from either option. If you’re looking forward to orally introduce a high amount of vitamin C in your system then, following are your fruit and vegetable options:

  • Oranges
  • Grapefruits
  • Strawberries
  • Cranberries
  • Broccoli
  • Peppers .. etc

As for supplements, there are plenty of options available over the counter. Some are also given a flavor for an enjoyable taste. These are also water soluble, so just in case you find swallowing troublesome, you could totally go for the later.

Tablets of vitamin c

Also, take note that a specified amount of vitamin C is to be taken in preference to your age. Categorising it further for males, females, pregnant females and mothers that are feeding.

Going for a topical application via cream that is prescribed by your dermatologist might not be as effective. There hasn’t been a great deal of any scientific proof regarding a topical application of vitamin C. However, there is still a wide variety in the pharmacy to chose from.

Even re-known brands come out with vitamin C serums and creams but how effective are they for stretch marks? As stated by Dr. Emily Kane, a naturopathic physician, “the basic structure of the skin has been altered, the cell layers pulled apart, and no cream is going to knit those layers back together again.” It is only possible to minimize their appearance. As sad as it is, a permanent freedom is not promised.

The closest we can get for a topical application of vitamin C is by a homemade serum. This way we will be able to steer clear of synthetics, parabens, and preservatives. Let’s see how!

Homemade Vitamin C serum

Homemade vitamin c serum

  • GMO-free vitamin C powder — 1 Tsp
  • Aloe vera gel — 1½ Tbsp
  • Distilled water — 1 Tsp
  • Vitamin E oil — ⅛ tsp
  • Frankincense essential oil (optional) — 5 drops

Measure out the vitamin C powder in a medium bowl. Add water and whisk until fully blended. Now add the aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil, and frankincense essential oil. Blend again. Use a funnel to transfer the prepared serum into an amber glass bottle. The tinted glass helps protect it from harmful rays of sunlight.

Only apply this serum before going to bed. Never at daytime. Vitamin C may cause photosensitivity under sun exposure. Best to do a test patch on the inside skin of your elbow. See how your skin responds. You will notice results within a few weeks up until 3 months. Stay committed in order to speed up the healing process.

We hope you’ll give the serum a try and introduce healthier options in your diet from here on out. Please let us know if this article helped you, we’d like to create more content on the same lines.

How To Care For Skin With Rosacea?

Blushing and turning pink is something that is considered adorable, and has many “awws” heard for it from any crowd. But when it comes to a persistent pink or hues of red, it gets highly annoying!

Yes, say hello to chronic rosacea! Being a chronic disease, rosacea can never be fully cured. The redness mostly flares up on the face, covering the nose and cheeks. This occurs due to the dilation of small blood vessels. The skin becomes very irritating. Controlling Rosacea

With all the bad news rosacea comes with, there’s still some good news. Rosacea can somewhat be kept at bay. The triggers can be easily controlled to some extent and that’s exactly what this Try Articles guide is about.

Let’s get right into it!

Causes Of Rosacea

Rosacea is still one of the skin diseases, that is still being researched on. The exact cause of rosacea is still a mystery to the experts. However, there have been a few studies that may give us some idea of what causes it. It is pretty evident, though that the flare-ups occur mostly in the central part of the face. Crossing the nose and both the cheeks.

The red bumps or flare-ups look like pimples, but they’re not. They just spread out, making the entire face look red and the skin very uneven.

Let’s jump into what might cause these nasty unwanted flare-ups to occur.

Temperature Variations

Rosacea, by nature, tends to turn the skin sensitive. Which means, the skin becomes reactive to extreme temperature changes. So, a temperature drop would suck out the moisture from the skin and cause inflammations to occur. Similarly, a rise in temperature would heat up the body and rosacea flare-ups will become inevitable.

Temperature Variations

Make sure to wash your face or take a shower with water that is moderate. It should not be too cold or too hot. Spas are also not a good idea for rosacea suffers.

Topical Applications

We apply a ton of products to our face, starting from a cleanser to a moisturizer. And if you’re a female add a 100 more to that! For rosacea sufferers, topical applications need to be taken very seriously. A cleanser loaded with chemicals, preservatives, and synthetic fragrances would be the perfect invitation to a rosacea party on your face.

It is important to steer clear of anything that is a skin irritant. Mostly preservatives, parabens and fragrances fall into this category. Make sure to read the labels to take caution. Also, anything that creates friction to the flare-ups will be a total nightmare! This means such skin types should never exfoliate. It would further aggravate the rosacea. The key to applying anything topical is to be gentle with it.

It’s been a recent observation, that what you eat could be a leading trigger for rosacea flare-ups. Consuming too much ‘white food’ tends to bring out the redness. The whites are salt, milk, flour, sugar and the likes. These days all of these are so easily disguised for easier consumption. Take flour for instance. It’s generally not that much of a healthy option but we tend to be driven to foods like pasta, lasagna, and pizzas. All of which are made from white flour.

Controlled fast food in take

We all love these, but it would be wise for a rosacea sufferer to be careful about what goes into their system. And who doesn’t like desserts? Loaded with sugar, that they are, must also be consumed in controlled amounts. Alcohol, caffeine and spicy foods are also on the list.

Keeping a check is all that’s needed. Such foods aren’t banned for rosacea sufferers, but it’s best to eat these less.

Physical stress increases the chances of rosacea flare-ups. Lifting weights or even simple cardio can lead to flare-ups. Something as simple as running up the stairs can be another trigger. Although, flare-ups due to physical stress don’t tend to stay for too long. The redness subsides quicker as compared to other triggers.

Ways Of Keeping Rosacea At Bay

There’s no definite cure or prevention of rosacea. But there are certain tried and tested methods or habits, if you may call them for a rosacea suffer. These need to be made a habit to keep rosacea at bay.

Using A Sunblock

When it comes to shielding from the skin and extreme temperatures, we basically need to protect the moisture barrier. We can easily protect the skin from the harsh rays of the sun by applying a sun-block having a  good SPF.

Protection from the sun

Normally an SPF 20 to 30 in a sunblock is good enough for normal usage. For rosacea skin, it’s best to take it to SPF 50 and above. Make sure you don’t step out of the house without applying this. Keep a travel size of the same sunblock as well, just in case you do forget.

Rich Moisturizer

A dense thick moisturizer, preferably as naturally made as possible would be the best option. Avoid anything that has any reactive or harsh ingredients. Definitely, keep an arm’s length away from a moisturizer that promises to whiten. These are the ones with the maximum chemical compositions. Helping with redness is a different thing. Also, choose moisturizing products that include the words, calming, relaxing or soothing in their description.

Prescribed Medication

It’s a great idea to see a dermatologist if the rosacea seems to spread. It’s even more important to use the prescribed medication in your routine as per requirement. It will help keep the rosacea in balance. The medication could be topical or oral. In both cases, stay committed to following.

Clean Eating

Push yourself to eat better. It is hard, and especially with the current fast-paced lifestyle we usually tend to go with drive-throughs or takeaways. But, please put in the extra effort! Cook your own food, or opt for as much organic food consumption as possible.

Diet for rosacea sufferers

Add fruits and vegetables, replace cold drinks with infused water or herbal teas. Speaking of herbal teas, green tea is an excellent pick! Have a cup in a day and you’ll feel relaxed, mentally and physically. Both of which will help calm down the rosacea.

When it comes to covering up the redness and flare up caused by rosacea, we need to use a product that wouldn’t further aggravate the cause on hand! Mineral makeup is said to be the friendliest when it comes to reactive skins. Use mineral powder to cover up the redness and then use rose water to press it in with a damp beauty blender. This one is a fool-proof trick and you will love it! Don’t forget, you heard it from us first! *victory sign*

Hope all this information is of great use and eases out your battle against rosacea!

DIY Creams To Make Your Beard Grow Faster

Have you noticed, how keeping a beard on the face is considered more a gentleman thing than a clean-shaven face these days? We’re actually loving this new fashion trend! And if you ask us, some men clean up really nice with a beard.

Some men tend to be hesitant in keeping a beard for it may grow in all directions! But, there’s a secret to a well-kept beard. A beard that has a nice healthy growth. Yes, of course, your beard needs some TLC (Tender Loving Care) too. The team at Try Articles have researched a great to deal to bring you these awesome DIY recipes.

Beard creams you can make at home

Let the awesomeness begin!

DIY One – Mustard Oil, Fenugreek And Yogurt

Mustard Oil is not just any oil, it contains the highest amount of Omega-3 fatty acids, which promotes hair growth. It’s taken out by grinding mustard seeds, which is a hefty process. With all the protein content that it contains, this oil is also antifungal and anti-bacterial. This means it’s great for your hair follicle, which tends to easily accumulate dust in the beard.

Beard GrowthPairing this oil with fenugreek brings in moisture for the beard. And yogurt is a natural conditioner. So, it helps with faster hair growth, keeps it moisturized and gives a nice silky conditioned feel. That’s a handful of things this little DIY does!

Let’s get into preparation!

What You Will Need

  • Fenugreek Seeds — 5 to 7
  • Mustard Oil — 2 Tbsp
  • Yogurt — 1 Cup

How To Go About It

Soak the fenugreek seeds overnight. Strain the water in a container in the morning. Now, add the rest of the ingredients to the strained fenugreek water. Mix well till you get a nice blended paste. Apply this to your beard, making sure you reach the place where hair meets skin. That’s where your hair follicles are. Massage well. Wash off after 30 minutes. Repeat every once a week. You’ll notice changes within a month!

DIY Two – Coconut Oil And Rosemary

We all know one can never get tired of acknowledging the benefits of coconut oil. It is by far the best pick for obtaining healthy hair. It helps hair grow longer, thicker and faster. So all those men who want to grow a beard and don’t have much growth, this one’s for you!Faster Beard GrowthRosemary, on the other hand, makes the hair silky and shiny. And who doesn’t like a nice well-kept beard? Let’s get started!

What You Will Need

  • Coconut Oil — 2 Tbsp
  • Rosemary Oil — 1/2 Tsp

How To Go About It

Mix in both the ingredients and apply thoroughly to the beard. Leave it on for 30 minutes to 60 minutes. Wash off with tepid water. Do this 3 times a week to obtain optimal results.

DIY Three – Egg Yolk And Olive Oil

Egg yolks strengthen hair due to the high protein content in them. Partnering the yolks with olive oil which accelerates the hair growth, makes it a powerful duo.

Let’s see this mighty DIY!Caring for your beard

What You Will Need

  • Egg Yolk — 1
  • Olive Oil — 3 Tbsp

How To Go About It

Sperate the yolk from the white and place it in a bowl. Add the oil and whisk it with a fork. Make sure the yolk is well blended and has no solid nodules. Apply this DIY mixture to your beard. Leave it on for 30 minutes tops. Wash off with mildly warm water. Don’t wash with water that has a temperature anything higher than this. We don’t want to cook the egg yolk on your beard. That would be a sight, though! Haha.

Repeat this DIY twice in a week and you will see tremendous results!

DIY Four – Sandalwood And Lemongrass

Sandalwood is a great anti-septic, something you really need where hair grows. It is important to keep such areas germ-free as they have more potential to aid bacteria. Shea butter adds richness to this recipe and beeswax helps hold the cream together.

Lemongrass basically is in there for its soul uplifting smell! Your man would crave to put this DIY on his beard due to its lovely smell. Especially if he is someone who dislikes creams and the likes, this one is for him!

DIY Beard Cream

What You Will Need

  •  Coconut Oil — 2 Tbsp
  •  Shea Butter — 2 Tbsp
  •  Shaved or Finely chopped Beeswax — 1 1/2 Tbsp
  •  Sandalwood Essential Oil — 15 Drops
  •  Lemongrass Essential Oil — 7 Drops

How To Go About It

Melt the beeswax over a double boiler. Make sure you don’t bring this to a boil. Stir constantly. Once that’s melted and has obtained a liquid state, remove it from heat. Now, add the shea butter and coconut oil. The mixture will still be warm enough to take your shea butter and coconut oil to a liquid state. Have all of these well-blended and then finally add in your essential oils.

Pour the blend into a container with a lid. Leave it to naturally solidify. It will take up to 30-45 minutes to harden. You can always pop it in the fridge if you’re in a hurry, though. Once it hardens, you have yourself an amazing DIY beard balm, ready to use.

Use this balm for deep conditioning days or when you just want your beard to smell good! When you deep condition, you will have to follow up with a wash. And, if you just run your fingers through it (for the smell) you leave it at that.

Now, go and give that beard of yours some well deserved TLC! We’re sure if not all, one of the DIY’s must have gotten enough attention to be used by you! Let us know which one’s your favorite and how it turned out for you.

How To Lose Weight After Christmas?

That one-time cheat meal that weighs the heaviest out of all days! Yes, we all go bonkers with food on holidays! Probably the best way to celebrate for humans is with food. There’s no denying that!

Now, we all have a body type. Let’s say we have person A and person B. Person A is someone who can gain a ton of weight by eating one ordinary cupcake. Person B can have a whole cake, a nice chocolate sundae, some pancakes, waffles and a full turkey and still not gain as much! There really is no magic in this. That’s just how diverse we are.

Losing weight after holidays

So, after Christmas, if your scale reading a high number makes you sad, this Try Articles article will help fix that upside down smile.

Read through.

Lemon Water And Honey Drink

First things first, let’s start with our morning drill. Before breakfast, prepare yourself a lemon water and honey drink. This one works like a charm for everyone! Has had brilliant reviews and never fails.

Weight loss drink

  • Warm water (warm enough to easily drink) — 1 Glass
  • Organic Honey — 1 Tsp
  • Lemon — 1 wedge

Start off with warming up 1 glass of water. Once that’s done, add 1 tsp of organic honey. (You may add more honey if you prefer a sweeter taste than sour and vice versa for lemon). Now, squeeze the lemon juice in and stir well. Drink instantly, do this daily to see a miraculous drop in your weight.

Plain Water

As they say, weight loss is not a physical challenge. It’s a mental one. So, let’s get slightly tricky and fool our mind and belly, shall we?

water for weight loss

Try to add as many liters of plain distilled water in your routine. 7-8 glasses are a perfect count. When you’re drinking lots of water, you’re basically filling your belly and leaving little space for food. So, your cravings, like donuts and cinnamon rolls need to side-track for a bit. Belly full and mind fooled! We’re one step closer to losing that blob on your belly!

Keep A Check On Your Calorie Count

Keeping a check on how many calories a food item contains will keep you on your toes for good. So when you are consuming it, you’ll know how much you need for a day. Generally, to lose 1 pound, you need to spend an approximate of 3,500 calories. Sounds a lot, doesn’t it!

Imagine, if you’re needed to lose this much you must have had these many calories somewhere when you were binging on those cream rolls! Sigh! Just make sure you read the label on the item before consuming it to stay in balance.

Or better yet, opt for zero calorie foods. These are those that burn more calories than they contain. Some of which are: Apple, Celery, Lettuce, Carrot and more of the likes. We’d suggest that you prepare a big salad that has all of these for a greater benefit.

How To Get Rid Of Bags Under Your Eyes With Home Remedies?

“My favorite bags are those, that lay under my eyes” – said no one ever! In fact, these are the least liked bags in the entire Universe. They’re a bummer for your upbeat energy. Making you look droopy and like you haven’t slept in ages. So, why do they exist? Experts say they’re part of natural aging. The collagen reduction and the weakening of muscles lead to saggy skin, hence creating a look of a sloppy bag.

It’s not solely the aging process though, there’s a lot more to the baggy look. Lack of sleep, stress, fatigue and a generally unhealthy lifestyle contribute as well. There are special creams targeting this issue, and quite frankly they’re pretty expensive.

So, the question is: Is it wise to burn a hole in your pocket when the cure is actually lying around in your very kitchen. And the answer is No! So what’s the solution, you ask? That’s exactly what we at Try Articles have assembled for you, your answer with a few home remedies to battle under eye bags!

Home Remedy 1 – Chilled Spoon

Cold Spoon

This one works instantly, and its pretty simple to do to. All you need to do is keep two tableware spoons in the freezer overnight. Wake up the next morning and de-puff those poofy eye bags by placing the spoon over your eyelids either with the deep side in or out (as per your liking). Hold them there while they transfer their coolness on the eyes and they turn warm. So how does this really work? The cold temperature of the spoons helps reduce the swelling and tames the bags.

Home Remedy 2 – Egg White

Egg whites known for making the skin firm and hence used in many face packs, work equally well for under the eyes. All you need to do is get an egg (free range would be the best option). Carefully break the shell, preserving the yolk in the broken shell and letting the white pour down in a container. Then whip the egg white and apply directly onto the under eye bags with either your bare fingers or an unused foundation brush.

Leave it on till it dries out. You will feel the skin under it getting tighter and that’s good! We want to minimise the sag as much as possible. It will take about 25 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Notice an incredible change. Repeat as per needed.

Home Remedy 3 – Vinegar And Oil

For this, you’ll need not just any Vinegar, but Apple Cider Vinegar, Apple Cider Vinegar is high in potassium and thus very beneficial for water retention, another possible cause for under eye bags.

Apple Cider Vinegar For Under Eye Bags

Take 1 Tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 Tsp of Olive oil for dilution. Since the vinegar is acidic in nature, it is very important to dilute it in water or oil (oil in this case) so that it may not burn our skin. Once you’ve prepared the mixture, massage gently around the contours of your eyes. Do 5 minutes of massage both ways, clockwise and anti-clockwise. This will improve blood circulation leading to a reduction in eye bags.

Repeat this ritual daily at night to see visible results.

Home Remedy 4 – Hot Water And Salt

Salt and Water Mixture

This is one famous concoction! You must have used it for gargling on a sore throat to bring it relief. It works just the same for puffy eyes. It helps in reducing the swelling. Take 2 Tbsp of water (enough to soak 2 cotton pads) and add 1 Tsp of salt in it. Word of caution though, make sure you stir well to dissolve the salt crystals because we don’t want any going into our eyes and causing irritation. Also, keep your eyes closed at all times.

Home Remedy 6 – Strawberries And Oats

Strawberry For Puffy Eyes

Strawberries possess anti-inflammatory properties and are a natural source of salicylic acid and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), both of which are very beneficial for our skin. These two together help brighten up dull skin and gives a nice youthful glow.

Start off by cutting away the top leafy part of the strawberries (you may freeze them at this part or use them fresh). Mash or blend 2/3 strawberries and add oats to turn the puree into a thick paste that would help it stick to the skin. Oats, on the other hand, are very soothing for the skin and also very moisturizing due to the high content of fat in it.

Both these make a power duo and give amazing results. Leave this under eye mask on for 20 minutes or you may also wait till it dries. Gently wash away with lukewarm water. Say hello, to a noticeable change! Repeat this drill as necessary.

Home remedies have been quite successful and are a thing lately and you don’t want to be late getting on the bandwagon! Mark your calendar and record your home remedy journey, you’ll be surprised how effective these recipes are.
