Why Homemade Deodorant

Many people think about why to invest time and make deodorants at home. They might not know the risk factors of chemical products they buy from stores. Homemade things are not only affordable but also they do not have any harmful side effects.

Let me break down some risk factors of Chemical deodorants/ Store-bought deodorants.

  1. Risk of Breast Cancer: Aluminum-based ingredients in body sprays can cause cancer. Deodorants are applied on armpits, they are next to the breast. Hence there is a high risk of breast cancer.
Besides Aluminium, some preservatives (Parabens) also cause cancer.
  2. Skin Rashes: Right after shaving spraying causes rashes. Moreover, some ingredients can be harmful to sensitive skin.
  3. Skin Allergies: Frangrance formula is causing allergies in skin. Avoid chemical formulated fragrances.
  4. Dark Skin Patches: Reapplying deodorants in the same area causes darkness due to some ingredients. There are a few simple options. Most of the products contain harmful ingredients.

Hopefully, you are convinced of what to choose for yourself that is safe. Though using deodorants in moderation is fine, check for ingredients before buying.
