So why VapoRub? VapoRub carries levomenthol, a mint flavored solid white glass. Using it alone may result in a mild rash. But, it becomes completely safe when dissolved in Vicks as it carries eucalyptus oil.

Procedure 1: Vicks And Vaseline

  • Vicks VapoRub — 1 Tbsp
  • Vaseline (Standard unscented) — 1Tbsp

The Process To Follow

It’s a 1:1 recipe and you can re-calculate as per the amount you want or the area you want to cover. Mix both the ingredients well enough to make sure they are fully incorporated into one another. You will have a spreadable balm type consistency. Apply that over the desired area and tightly wrap it up with a plastic wrap. Keep it on for 60 minutes. Remove and repeat daily or every other day. The results show up gradually, but they are there.

Procedure 2: Plain Vicks

This one is probably the simplest of all. Apply a layer of Vicks VapoRub in the desired area and cover it up with a plastic wrap. Secure it tightly so that it doesn’t budge while you have it on overnight. Repeat this method 5 times a week to see reputable results.

Procedure 3: Vicks And Sodium Bicarbonate

Ingredients

  • Vicks VapoRub — 8 Tbsp
  • Camphor — 1/2 Tablet
  • Sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda) — 3 Tbsp
  • Alcohol — 3 Tbsp

The Process To Follow

Start off with the camphor tablet. Crush half of it. Now, measure out the rest of the ingredients. Mix the crushed tablet with the other ingredients until you get a paste. Store the resulted cream in a glass or a plastic jar. Preferably glass, since it’s safer and environmentally friendly.

Apply the cream at night before going to bed. Layer it on in circular movements. Massage for a bit. Then, wrap it with plastic wrap and leave it on overnight. You may also let it sit for 30 minutes and then remove it. You may choose the latter if sleeping on with plastic wrap is uncomfortable for you.

It’s best to use this cream while you’re staying at home or before you head out to the gym for doing your routine workouts.

Repeat this method as per your requirement.

Procedure 4: Vicks And Alum

  • Vicks VapoRub — 2 or 3 Tbsp
  • Alum (powder) — 2 Tbsp
  • Sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda) — 1 Tbsp

The Process To Follow

First, mix the two dry ingredients. Now, mix in the Vicks. Make sure you get a nice pasty consistency that is easy to spread. Apply the cream generously to the desired area and cover it securely with a plastic wrap. Then leave it on overnight. Release the plastic wrap the next morning. You may take a hot shower if you want to lose the strong smell of Vicks.

This concoction will help the body sweat, resulting in a weight loss in the affected area. It could be your thigh, your arms, your belly or your love handles. Basically, any body part that you wish to thin out. Repeat this procedure till you have achieved the desired outcome.
